Biography

Md. Shariful Islam is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. He received his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) in 2013 and his Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in 2017. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at KUET.

He began his professional career at Khulna City Corporation (KCC) in 2014 as an Assistant Engineer under the “Solid Waste Management and Asphalt Plant Establishment Project” in Khulna, Bangladesh. In 2019, he joined Zaozhuang University, China, as an Assistant Professor. He is also an active Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

His research interests include renewable energy, wind energy, vertical-axis wind turbines, and mechanical engineering applications.
